Therapeutic Canoe Trips in Algonquin Park

Algonquin Park Canoe4Cancer
It's simple, immersing oneself in nature via canoe makes people feel good. And people battling cancer can benefit, more than most, from feeling good in nature. Since Algonquin Adventure Tours has intimate experience with the realities of advanced cancer, we wanted to use our knowledge to provide beneficial experiences to patients in need. A little awe inspiring beauty and the sense of accomplishment from successful wilderness travel can go a long way in improving a patient's spirit.

Algonquin Adventure Tours guides are specially trained in the realities and possible limitations of patients battling cancer. In special situations, our volunteer partners in the medical profession are able to join patients on their adventure. Simply put, if a patient is too weak to paddle, and does not have strong paddling partners to bring along, we will still arrange the adventure of a lifetime.

Therapeutic adventure options include all those detailed on our Algonquin Adventure Tours website. Although participants usually join Stuart Lorne Letovsky (founder, head guide and stage 4b survivor) on a VIP tour. Patients with physical limitations should contact Algonquin Adventure Tours to discuss their condition.

Trips for patients (and one guest) are always free.  We prefer referrals from a cancer treatment or support centre, but patients/families/friends may contact us directly. Please contact us any time for more information.

If you or someone you know could benefit from the Algonquin Adventure Tours Canoe4Cancer Program, please check out the adventures offered by Algonquin Adventure Tours and contact us for more information.
